Hoof Handling Problems

Hi, I bought my first Andalusian this summer. She is a two year old and beautiful. However, she is very frightened of the farrier. Before his first visit I could pick up her feet and clean them. After he trimmed her front feet, she was too franic to continue. Since, then I have practically worked with her feet everyday and am just back where I started in the first place, able to clean her hooves without rearing and side stepping. I am rubbing her legs everyday, talking quietly, picking up for progressive longer periods, etc. The previous ownder did say, she was afraid of farrier chaps???

I`ve heard so much about how easy Andalusians are to train, but I have found mine a bit more difficult than my 2 year old Paint and yearling Paint and many other horses in my past. However, I will be patient and look forward to the effort paying off.

Any advice on how to make her more comfortable with picking up her feet?
